Anytime now: "Title IX is DEI"
They're Coming After Girls' and Women's Sports With The Blessing of TERFs
Washington — Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Wednesday that the Justice Department is filing a civil lawsuit against Maine's Department of Education for "discriminating against women by failing to protect women in women's sports" in what she alleged is a violation of Title IX.
Let's make sure we're all clear on this much: they are not protecting women's sports, let alone women. They’re attacking trans folx while they can still opportunistically feign concern for women’s sports.
Once women's and girls' sports have served the convenient purpose of vilifying trans folx, Title IX1 will be on the chopping block as sexist and part of the DEI problem.
As they come after women in the workforce and women in military command and women and girls seeking health care and women on the voting rolls and women in aviation and girls who care about climate justice and women in power and girls and women of color and women who don't marry and women who do marry and women who are fertile and girls who may become fertile and women and girls abroad who need access to education and maternal healthcare that the U.S. has abruptly cut off and women who’ve credibly alleged sexual assault against the President and several of his Cabinet-level influencers...can anyone be taken seriously if they are trying to sell the idea that this right-wing government is not coming after women - all women - in sports?
This should not be shocking to anyone who’s been watching what this Administration has been doing and what it promised to do on the campaign trail. As it is, it is astounding that they can pretend to support women in sports while attacking their success and achievement in professions and in careers sought by men. Non-Hispanic white men.
As they are blaming women for aviation accidents, citing "DEI," without any basis in fact, we cannot ignore just how close they are right now to obliterating girl's sports as repugnant to their "traditional" values as the gender-based set-aside in sports is itself "gender affirming" and "DEI" by their reckoning and logic.
But not yet. Girls’ and women’s sports is out on bond, for the time being, and - ironically enough - it’s thanks to trans folx, specifically the suffering and oppression trans folx face from the opportunistic troglodytes who pepper the upper echelons of the Trump Administration.
For now, holding up a gender distinction in sports offers the perk to the troglodytes of vilifying trans folx. Don't think that won't come to an abrupt end very soon. It's all part of the attack on women - because their task of returning to the "white men must thrive" society they openly long for is made easier having first obtained the consent and cheers and affirmations of TERFs and other women who have been duped into thinking they're offering a helping hand by coming after a handful of trans-female athletes and signing onto governmental attacks on gender-affirming institutions and gender-affirming care.
Or in educational settings in general?
Is that really where people believe the government is drawing a self-imposed line on which arenas and corners of society where they will repress women?
There are no brakes to this trolley car. Where could anyone get the idea that there are brakes? Or that anyone currently in power would bother to apply them?
Once they’re done rolling over trans folx, they’re going to pull the switch so the trolley can start - no, continue - rolling over women. And girls.

You didn’t hear it here first. If you hadn’t noticed until now, you’ve not been paying attention. The “brilliant” part of it is how they’ve conscripted so many women to pave the way to their own government-mandated irrelevancy in the name of “protecting women.”
Sure, many of them may be rapists and serial sexual assaulters and practitioners of domestic violence of all kinds, but they also know full well the value of first getting consent when it can be manipulated to their advantage.
Title IX is a U.S. federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender in educational programs and related activities (including but not limited to scholastic athletic activities) that receive federal funding. Enacted in 1972, Title IX ushered in the on-going explosion of athletic opportunities (and funding) for girls and women across the United States, as the law essentially forced that result when courts interpreted the law to require that relatively equal funding and scholarships had to be offered to girls and women in order to keep such programs for boys and men funded. Many accounts report that this was a surprising result from Title IX and that it was not a widely foreseen outcome among the lawmakers who enacted it in 1972, at least not in how dramatic the law’s impact would be in weaving the social fabric of the nation.

Oh, yes. No brakes, no bottom to this, and no shame.
